Challenges
- Tech Debt: The founder initially built this project alongside a development team and while the product turned out great aesthetically and most features functioned, there were several data structure mishaps that led to systems like their surveys not functioning correctly. Learning someone else's business, data structure, and communication style can be a challenge when first taking over a public facing product that’s already generating revenue. We overcame this with excellent communication and by thoroughly reviewing the database.
Key Solutions Implemented
- Dynamic Survey System: We built a dynamic survey system similar to google forms so that users can generate and analyze various data surrounding stakeholders like employees, suppliers, and customers. Users can import their questions, use templates or manually create forms. They can invite stakeholders to take the survey and then analyze their data in a shareable way.
- Shopify Integration: Successfully integrated shopify so that users can give Ecolytics access to their business data. This way they can feed into Ecolytics tracking algorithm and generate analytics on where their business can improve.
